The Kingdom of Norberg was founded by believers in the Omiist faith after fleeing Mernia and crossing
the Great Honig Desert. Over the past several hundred years, Norberg has grown to being a propserous
kingdom comprised of twelve baronies bordering the Yishic Ocean. The land is largely agricultural,
and populated with well tended farms. Local villages are connected by roads to the larger cities of
Marcoux (the capital), and Kittleton (merchant center).
The kingdom is ruled by King Forsigne, who recently inherited from his father, Introvigne. After many years of war, Norberg is largely at peace. The orc tribes to the south have been pushed back into the mountains and are now Ceralin's problem. The barbarian tribes to the north were roundly defeated ten years ago and are content to sulk in Jhutland. Trade with Goa and Sud has resumed.
Things have not always been so peaceful, however. Castle Bannoff remains as a grim reminder of men can become twisted and pursue the ways of evil. Even today, the caverns and passages below the castle teem with vile monsters and unspeakable creations. Several attempts to clean up the place have failed, so a force fence was thrown up around the place to keep the bad guys in and the innocent out.
