Thirty Day Meeting, March 12, 2000

The future bears first met at a meeting thirty days before the pratical portion of Wood Badge training. At that time we were designated the "Skipper Gidney" Patrol.

First Weekend: April 1 - 2, 2000

Lot's of fun was had by all as we learn the name of our patrol and start to come together as a unit. A brief summary is given of the weekend events, and some impressions by members of the bear patrol are included.

Patrol Meeting: April 9, 2000

Minutes of the meeting on Sunday. Mike led a review session of leadership skills, and Corky Cross led the rest of the meeting to plan out the next weekend and various patrol projects including uniform additions, flags, and presentations.

Second Weekend: April 14 - 16, 2000

The Bear Patrol continues to lead the rest of the pack in skills competition and patrol evaluation. Several presentations were may by us and we received several in return.

Model Troop Meeting, Opening Ceremony: April 29, 2000

This is the text of the opening we are planning to use for our part of the model troop meeting.

Third Weekend: April 28 - 30, 2000

We completed the pratical portion of the Wood Badge training program and tied for first place in patrol ratings. The Bear Patrol was selected to the permanant Program Patrol.

Letter from Mike McPherson, April 29, 2000

We received this letter from Boo-Boo and opened it at our patrol campfire after the Saturday hike on the third Wood Badge weekend.

District Event

John Houlihan reports on a successful district event in Old Colony Council. Master Chef Corky Cross was in attendence slow roasting a turkey over a fire.
