Browsing around the web and using a couple of search engines, I came across many references to
Wood Badge Training. Most of this information is oriented towards promoting, organizing, and
scheduling various training sessions. One of the better sites is
www.woodbadge.org which has several articles on
The Founding of Wood Badge,
What is Wood Badge,
The History of Wood Badge, and
Wood Badge Beads.
The U.S. Scouters Service Project web site has several links to Wood Badge resources , including Gilwell Park, history of Wood Badge, a cookbook, etc. Most of the patrol sites on the web are very limited, some with pictures, most with almost no information at all. An exception is the Owl Patrol of Knox Trail County which details members, projects, and other activities. I also found a list of Wood Badge Patrols Around the World which lists the Wood Badge patrol names commonly used in different countries. |
