Mama Bear got her beads at the Charles River District Roundtable in a ceremony lead by Mike McPherson (Boo-boo). Mark and Greg were on hand to cheer her on and sing the song. Jeanne was the first member of the Bear Patrol to be awarded the Wood Badge Beads, and only the second member of NE-1-202.
Jeanne gets her McLarran Neckerchief
Bill Naughton, scoutmaster of the next New England Woodbadge course presents Jeanne with her woodbadge neckerchief. The neckerchief is light brown with a patch of the McLarran tartan, symbolizing the gift of Gilwell Park to scouting.
Paul Cady puts on her beads
Paul Cady, scoutmaster of NE-1-202 gives Jeanne her woodbadge beads. Jeanne was the first person in the bear patrol to get her beads, and only the seconed person in our troop. Senior Patrol Leader Charlie Mateo is behind her, aiding the process.
